Disneyland Park is divided into 5 parts:
Fanstasyland - Frontierland - Discoveryland - Adventureland - Main Street USA
If you're spending a full day at the Disney park, it would make sense to concentrate on 2 or 3 'lands'.
The Fast Pass
While it's not possible to avoid queuing for most of Disney's attractions, it is possible to reduce the time considerably with a handful of rides thanks to the Fast Pass. It will safe you time & hassle. That's the good news! The not so good news is that the system is only in place for 6 attractions. Recommendation - one of the most popular ride (with the longest queues) is Peter Pan's Flight, pick up your Fast Pass for Peter Pan's Flight as soon as you arrive at Disney.

Fast Pass - How it Works?
At each of the above attractions, you will see a Fast Pass sign, insert your Disney Park entrance ticket into the machine & you will automatically received your Fast Pass ticket indicating your time to return to the attraction at the given time, insert the Fast Pass ticket & you're inside (short wait) but nothing compared to the normal access queues.
Fantasyland
The busiest land, geared for the younger audience, toddlers to 12 years. There are 14 attractions in this part of the park, 8 of which are aimed at a young audience, the remainder being classed as family attractions. For children wishing to meet their favorite Disney characters, this is the place to find them.
Frontierland
This area seemed a little bare recently (Feb 2007), a number of the attractions were temporarily closes. Here you you will find the Paddle Wheel River Boat, Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain (roller coaster). 8 attractions - a mixture of family attractions & fun for little ones.
Discoveryland
Future, past & present travel. 4 attractions including the Laser Blast, pilot your own rocket ship, a musical production & video games room.
Adventureland
Wooden play areas, Robinson's tree house, adventure island, loop the loop rollercoaster. Generally a less crowded authentic area of the park, with space for children to play, run, cross bridges etc. 6 attractions in this area.
Main Street USA
This is where you'll be when you first arrive at Disney. Lined with restaurants, snack bars, Disney souvenir shops, many temptations for the children! The City Hall building houses brochures, restaurant reservations... Disney meet & greet characters can be found her at certain times.
