The Chartres trip takes you to the Centre Val de Loire region, approximately 90kms from Paris. The trip begins with a visit of the Notre Dame de Chartres. This 13th century cathedral has been attracting pilgrims & visitors for over 2000 years, with its one gothic & one romanesque spire, it dominates the town. You can admire the flying buttresses, the crypt, labyrinth & beautiful stained glass windows which are absolutely exquisite on a sunny day.
During the Chartres trip, you can also explore the well preserved old town on foot – you will see the medieval part of Chartres with its wooden timber framed houses & narrow cobbled streets.
